Coney Island

Unfortunately Coney Island is no longer as it was.  The amusement park has been torn down and apartment buildings are being built where it once stood.  The boardwalk lives on, as does the beach.  There are still oddball events that occur regularly on the boardwalk, like the Coney Island Polar Bear's winter swimming club.  Check this out for further information.

Directions to Coney Island:

1. Take the downtown #1 train
2. Transfer at the 59th Street Station
3. Get on the downtown D train
4. Get off at the Coney Island/Stillwell Ave. Station (last stop)
