Metropolitan Transit Authority (SUBWAY)

Picture
New York's subways are the best way to get around town.  The subways are open 24 hours a day and are, for the most part, very safe and reasonably clean.  Be cautious when riding alone at night but don't be afraid to ride (it's best to bring a friend late at night).  Make a point of staying out of people's way at the exits and stay to the right and everything should be fine!  Almost every rider is happy to help you with directions if you're lost.

If you do get lost, just remember that the hostel is at the 103rd Street Station on the #1 line.

Hours:
Open 24 hours a day, 7 nights a week, 365 days a year
