Built in 1883, the Brooklyn Bridge was the longest bridge in the world when it was created.   It is possible and popular to walk the length of the bridge anytime-- and it's free!!!  Try walking it at night.

Directions to Brooklyn Bridge:

  1. Take the #1 train downtown
  2. Transfer at the 42nd St./Times Square station
  3. Get on the S train (it only goes one way and one stop)
  4. Get on the to the #4, #5, or #6 train at Grand Central Station
  5. Get off at “Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall.”
